International Candidates Who Have Received an Acceptance Letter from a Faculty Member of Our University for Doctoral Programs

International candidates who have applied to our institute’s doctoral programs and have received an acceptance letter from a faculty member of our university who will serve as their thesis supervisor, and who personally apply to the head of the relevant department of the doctoral program they wish to enroll in, together with the documents listed below, by 15:00 on 17.09.2025, may be admitted to the program without quota limitations and without an entrance exam—provided that they meet the minimum application requirements for the program—based on the opinion of the relevant department head and the decision of the Institute Administrative Board.
 
In addition, candidates who have applied to the department head must submit the originals of their documents in person to our Institute by the application deadline.
 
Required Documents:
 
* Acceptance Letter: Acceptance letter issued by the YTU faculty member who will serve as the thesis advisor. (Click here for a sample acceptance letter.)
* Diploma: Apostilled diploma/graduation certificate for the completed undergraduate and graduate programs.
* Transcript of Records: Apostilled transcript of records for the completed undergraduate and graduate programs.
* Photocopy of Passport
* University Recognition Document: A document issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) showing that the foreign higher education institution from which the undergraduate and graduate programs were completed is recognized by YÖK https://denklik.yok.gov.tr/yu-yukseklisans 
* ALES or GRE Certificate (must meet the minimum score required for the applied program)
* TÖMER C1 Certificate: Valid for 2 years. Must be obtained from the TÖMER centers of state universities in Tükiye or from Yunus Emre Institutes. Candidates who have completed their undergraduate and/or graduate program in Turkish in Türkiye are exempt from the TÖMER C1 requirement.
* English Language Certificate-YDS, YÖKDİL, E-YDS, E-YÖKDİL, TOEFL IBT, PTE (must meet the minimum score required for the applied program)
