International candidates who wish to apply for programs taught in Turkish must upload a C1-level TÖMER certificate obtained from TÖMER/Language Centers of state universities in Türkiye or Yunus Emre Institute to the system. TÖMER certificates are valid for 2 years. However, international candidates who have graduated from undergraduate and/or graduate programs taught in Turkish at universities in Türkiye are exempt from the TOMER C1 certificate. In this case, international candidates must complete their applications by uploading their e-government graduation documents instead of the TOMER C1 certificate.
Candidates can make a maximum of 2 choices for Master's programs. For Doctoral programs, a maximum of 1 choice can be made. The order of preferences is important, and the primary program should be listed as the first choice!
For our Non-Thesis Master's Programs, ALES and Foreign Language requirements are not required for application and registration. The success ranking will be based on the undergraduate GPA (AGNO).
According to the YTU Graduate Education and Teaching Regulation and Senate Principles, the Foreign Language requirement is not required for applications and evaluations for Master's programs taught in Turkish. (Starting from the Fall semester of 2025-2026, the Foreign Language requirement will also be applied for applications and evaluations for Master's programs taught in Turkish.)
