The Ph.D. Thesis Awards recognize thesis authors whose work contributes to science, technology, society, and culture.
Who Can Apply?
Ph.D. dissertations for which the defense exam was successfully completed between June 25, 2025 – June 26, 2026—doctoral dissertations for which the doctoral defense exam has been successfully completed and the bound thesis has been submitted during this period will be considered for evaluation.
Applications must be submitted online by the thesis author.
Awards are given to the thesis author.

Start: June 3, 2026, Time: 12:00 a.m.
End: June 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM
Award Categories
Awards are given in 4 different categories:
Core Engineering Field
Architecture Core Area
Basic Sciences
Social Sciences
For each thesis, only one category may be selected.
In each category, three thesis authors will be awarded first, second, and third place.
Evaluation Criteria
Provided that they are derived from the thesis work
Article
Book
Paper
Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights
Project
Citations
will be considered.
